Lost another 1.5lb this week which I am slightly disappointed in but can also understand why because of the treats I have had over the last 2 weeks. Still it’s still a total weight loss of 5st 10.5lb or 80.5lb so compared to this time last year I can’t really complain.

Fully back on track this week as there are no special occasions or get togethers that can attempt to derail me.

I would like to thank everyone for their positive and encouraging comments both on this blog and my facebook. It all lights a fire under my bum and makes me more determined than ever to get this last 7st off.

Short update this week… there isn’t one!

Car service took all day and was done too late to get to Weight Watchers

Will hopefully have an update next week I feel like I’ve lost inches this week hopefully this will translate to weight loss too

Lost another 2.5lb this week taking my total to 5st 9lb (79lb) so I am really happy with that considering I had a couple of bad food days on Friday and Saturday last week. Aysia was in work so unfortunately I have nothing to report for Aysia’s weight update but she is very close to her 50lb certificate.

Speaking of certificates I received my 75lb certificate last night which has given me a boost. I know it’s cheesy but getting something physical that shows how well I have done over the last six months or so really helps with the motivation levels.

The next target for me is another 6lb to get my second 10% of my weight lost and then after that it’s the 100lb certificate. It’s strange to think that by the time I get to my birthday in June I could be 100lb+ lighter.

Slightly pessimistic for this week though as Saturday I have a pub lunch with my Dad who I haven’t seen since Xmas followed by a video games/take away night with my mates. Suffice to say I al going to be super healthy for the rest of the week to counter act this.

Update is a little late this week due to the fact I am buying my first house and have been a bit busy and stressed.

Another blip this week saw me gain 1lb making my weight loss for February 5.5lb and 5st 6lb total

It would be a lie if I didn’t say I was disappointed becase I stuck to the plan this week religiously. I am still determined though and I am still in a loss mode for February. Also I have lost 76lb quite quickly so my body was bound to start slowing down eventually. I am sure the status quo will be restored this week.

Back on track this week and I’m really pleased. Lost another 6.5lb which takes me to 77lb total loss or 5.5 stone for all us UK residents. This takes me below 25st for the first time in 10 years and boy does it feel good!

This puts me back on track for my challenge of losing 100lb in 38 weeks and breaks another Weight Watchers challenge of getting 75lb weight loss and my certificate is forthcoming.

I can really enjoy spending time with my nephews at the weekend now!

Slight set back this week I put on 1.5lb which I am disappointed by as I was on plan last week but considering that this is only the second gain I have had since joining Weight Watchers that’s not too bad.

On a more positive note Aysia lost 2lb so I am really pleased for her.

I am sure it will come off this week as again I am determined to get to that 100lb challenge set by my class leader

Great Weigh Loss Information

This is just a quick post for anyone else who is already doing Weight Watchers. As useful as the ‘Eating Out Guide’ from WW is it is also quite limited.

After having a read today I’m impressed by the site as it has a lot of good information about points values of various foods from both restaurants and grocery shopping. It’s also refreshing to see that the points are based on the UK Weight Watchers system and not the US version.

Weigh in on Thursday so I will have a new post up on Friday with any luck.

Top 6 Retail PS3 Games of 2009

I have spent a lot of time on my PS3 recently even though I own all 3 systems along with handheld systems and playing WoW on the Mac. As a result I have decided to put together a top 6 list of my favourite retail games from this last year. The reason I have gone for 6 is just because I couldn’t cut anymore from the list.

1. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Not only my favourite game on any platform last year but also one of my favourites of all time. It is just a fantastic experience from beginning to end with a great story that makes you want to keep playing. Graphically it has set a new bar for other games to top and it also has fantastic multiplayer. I don’t want to say any more because everyone should play this game and I don’t want to spoil anything

2. Assassin’s Creed II

This surprised me a lot, while not perfect it again has a great story and corrects a lot of the problems of the original game which I got bored of. It says a lot for me if I keep getting side tracked by collectibles and side quests when I’m normally a main story line sort of player. As I said it’s not perfect but it is also one of the best gaming experiences of 2009

3. Batman: Arkham Asylum

Who knew it was possible to make an amazing Batman game based on the comics and not the movies. The combat is great, the stealth sections are great, the voice acting and story are fantastic and it looks good too. Being a huge fan of the animated from the 1990′s I was really pleased that this game turned out so good. Best comic book game ever made as far as I am concerned.

4. Infamous

I’ll be honest I bought this on impulse based on a few strong reviews because I hadn’t been exposed to much of it but I am so glad I bought it. Another game that dose the open world aspect very well and there is plenty of incentive to play through a second time thanks to the morality system and moral choices that affect the story.

5. Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time

I have always been a fan of the Ratchet games on PSP and PS2 then I played and enjoyed Tools of Destruction on the PS3 so this was a no brainer when I saw it cheap. They again have improved on Tools and made the definitive Ratchet game. Between the quicker leveling, improving the space combat and the Clank puzzle-centric gameplay I can’t say enough good things about this game.

6. Modern Warfare 2

It says a lot that this game is number 6 on my list I love this game but it has had a lot of competition in 2009. The single player is as intense as ever and along with Spec Ops mode you will be playing this for a long time even if you don’t play competitive multiplayer. As with MW1 though the multiplayer is the best I have ever played after Killzone 2 (which only just missed this list). The perk system has been improved and leveling never feels like a grind and even if you play for fun like me you can’t go wrong.

The Story so Far

Back in August 2009 I finally got fed up with being as big as I was I had ballooned up to 30st 5lb (425lb).

This was taken on a boat tour of Lock Katrine in Scotland

My wife and I decided to join Weight Watchers, which I had tried before, but now felt like the right time to start again.

Up to date I have lost 5st and 2lb (72lb) and my wife has lost 2st 13lb (41lb) and we’ve never been happier. Attached to this post is a picture of me at my biggest. From this picture I have already lost 6 inches off my waist and can see my feet again!

I will try to keep this up to date as much as possible at the very least once a week after I get weighed on a Thursday evening but I will also update from time to time with random thoughts about my other big passions in life. This is mainly MMA, Pro Wrestling, Video Games and Metal Music
